We are seeking a part time, remote partner who will help us grow our machining business in the US.
Your goal will be to help us meet and secure orders from machine shops and other manufacturers in the US, and maintain a good relationship with them. You will be compensated on a percentage basis with opportunities for growth in the position.
Some of the goals waiting for you:
◦ Identify and communicate with potential commercial partners such as machine shops, factories and product design firms to bring new machining projects to Iridium.
◦ Maintain the connection through the quoting process by idenfitying important elements for the customer, such as importance of speed, volume, cost and helping us with feedback on the quotes. Any insights that help win clients will work in our collective favor.
◦ Manage said accounts to improve and increase scope of work for existing relationships.
Your responsibilities will be among others.
• Active participation in sales process:
◦ Initiate and follow up the sales process from initial contact phase till closure.
◦ Research and analyse sales options and identify business opportunities.
◦ Serve as point of contact for commercial partners.
◦ Regularly follow up on inbound leads and sales inquiries.
◦ Respond to customer/client inquiries, suggestions, complaints, etc.
◦ Develop and maintain productive business relationships with all partners.
◦ Prospect and cold-call on businesses and organisations.
◦ Generate referral business through developed clientele.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably in business to business sales.
• Use of technology/websites for market analysis, sales approach, relationship management.
• Knowledge of quoting and production process a plus.
• Work experience in the following fields a plus:
◦ Machining industry.
◦ Factory supply chain or heavy industry.
◦ Industrial design and/or product development industry.
• Language Skills:
◦ English fluent.
• Education
◦ Merchanical engineering education, experience in sales, marketing a plus.
